Ashley counts the cost as Newcastle relegated

The personal fortune of controversial sportswear retailer Mike Ashley took another knock on Sunday as Newcastle United lost their final fixture of the football season to be relegated from the Premier League, going down by 0-1 at Aston Villa.

Estimates put the cost of demotion from the the world’s richest domestic football competition as high as £60m.
