Business warns gas emissions row is threat to London carbon trade

Businesses called on the government to back down from its dispute with the European Commission over greenhouse gas emissions amid fears London could lose its dominant position in the carbon trading market..

Steve Drummond, chief executive of CO2e.com, the carbon brokerage, said: "London had been styling itself the leader in the European emissions trading market, so this is clearly unhelpful. [The government's actions] will slow the London market down."
