French military school eyes Gulf

The elite military school that trained Charles de Gaulle could become the latest French institution to create an outpost in the Gulf, following in the footsteps of the Louvre and the Sorbonne.

Set up by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802, the École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr is considering setting up a spin-off in Qatar to train Qatari officers.
