Mugabe warns of fraying ties to west

Robert Mugabe, president of Zimbabwe, on Monday said the country’s government might “reconsider” its links with the west, which he said was refusing to recognise the new power-sharing administration.

His comments appeared to be a response to Hillary Clinton, US secretary of state, who last week called on South Africa to toughen its stance against Mr Mugabe who she accused of having “turned his back on his people”.
