Dollar drops to 15-month low

The dollar dropped to its lowest level for 15 months on a trade-weighted basis on Monday as rising risk appetite weighed on haven demand for the US currency.

Analysts said investor optimism continued to be supported by last week’s pledge from the Federal Reserve to keep US interest rates at ultra-low levels for an extended period.
