Work-related deaths 'going unreported'

At least 2.2m people die of work-related accidents and diseases each year but poor reporting in many countries means this could be a vast underestimate, the International Labour Organisation says in a report today.

The ILO estimate is already adjusted for under-reporting but the report says the size of the discrepancies suggests that in many poor countries only a fraction of the real toll of work-related death and disease has been captured.
