N Korea declares missile test success

North Korea on Thursday declared its provocative missile tests a success and warned of more rocket launches, underlining its continued defiance as the United Nations mulled possible financial sanctions against the regime.

“The successful launches of missiles this time were part of our normal military exercises that were aimed at reinforcing our self-defence capabilities,” a spokesman for North Korea’s foreign ministry said in a statement carried by Pyongyang’s official Korean Central News Agency.
