While the four regional BrandZ top 10s are largely unchanged, five brands have broken in, highlighting some of the broader changes in Millward Brown Optimor’s rankings over the past year.
In North America, Bank of America has been displaced by BlackBerry. The brand entered the top 100 in last year’s ranking after its brand value rose a massive 390 per cent. In this year’s ranking, the brand value has merely doubled – an achievement eclipsed only by the 168 per cent rise at China Merchants Bank.
