Equities emerge as first among equals amid falling rates

There is much debate about whether the rally in government debt markets is creating a bubble, but one thing seems clear: Treasuries, Bunds or gilts do not look particularly attractive investments right now.

Concerns about a deflationary spiral have driven down yields on risk-free assets to record lows, leading some commentators to dub them "return-free risk" assets.
