Palestinian religious leaders met with the Islamic group holed up in a refugee camp in northern Lebanon in an attempt to find a political solution to end more than a week of fighting between the militants and the Lebanese army.
Sheikh Mohammed Hajj, a member of a Palestinian religious leaders committee, who visited Nair al-Bared camp on Sunday and met with leaders of Fatah al-Islam, said the priority was to broker a ceasefire and then work on a political solution to the crisis.
