Passengers at Vienna’s international airport will soon be seeing almost as many cranes as aircraft as building work starts for a €366m expansion.

The scheme, part of an ambitious €854m building plan to 2008, will add a new Skylink pier with 17 gates and should accelerate transfer times at what is already a busy hub.
