Class action lawsuits could take root

Class action lawsuits could be common in Britain within a few years as part of growing European efforts to promote consumer court activism, according to a survey of companies published on Tuesday.

Britain has “the most fertile ground in Europe” in which a collective litigation culture could take root, according to research by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
