The growing crisis in Poland over parliament ratifying the Lisbon treaty could lead to early elections if the opposition does not compromise, a senior member of the governing Civic Platform party has warned.

“If there is no ratification, we’ll have to think about early elections,” said Zbigniew Chlebowski, Civic Platform’s parliamentary leader.
