HK developer ousts chairman in family feud

The board of Sun Hung Kai Properties on Tuesday removed Walter Kwok as chairman and replaced him with his 79-year-old mother, ending an acrimonious struggle for control of Hong Kong’s biggest property developer.

Sun Hung Kai said on Tuesday that Walter Kwok, the eldest of the three Kwok brothers who have jointly run the company since their father’s death in 1990, had ceased to be chairman and chief executive of the company and was now a non-executive director.
