Sir, Your report “Labour in talks to delay paying off £10m loans” (Ft.com, May 7) sadly identifies the ruling UK party’s financial difficulty and the dependence of our political parties on a limited number of financially interested individuals and institutions. I think there is a better way of combining our traditions with a modern form of political funding.
