As the UK enters the second year of a real estate downturn that has wiped almost a quarter off property values, there are worries that the rest of Europe could face a similar fate.
During the last property downturn in the early 1990s, many European markets fell just as sharply as the UK, albeit somewhat later. Similarly, during this cycle, there has been a noticeable lag, but property investors are forecasting that Europe could eventually follow the UK.
