Ross takes a SpiceJet passage to India

Wilbur Ross, the billionaire US investor who specialises in distressed assets, is to invest $80m in SpiceJet, an Indian low-cost airline, in spite of the aviation industry struggling with high fuel prices.

“We believe the price of oil is in a bubble, that it is not sustainable long term at this level,” Mr Ross told the Financial Times. “I have great difficulty believing oil should be more than $100 a barrel.”
