Online music set to expand in Europe

Music fans in more European countries may gain access to Apple’s iTunes music website after the US company joined other companies in committing to improve distribution and licensing arrangements in Europe.

A group – comprising Amazon, Nokia, EMI, Universal, several national collecting societies and consumer representatives – this week drew up principles to govern the licensing of music for online use.
