Next spring, environmental charity Live Earth will be offering a facility on its web site that was not there before: a way of viewing images of the projects you’re donating to, along with regular updates from project workers in the field.

The system will be powered by Akvo, a loosely coupled network that uses mobile and internet technology to link project donors with project workers in the developing world.
