Tiscali plummets after UK deal collapses

Shares in Tiscali suffered their biggest one-day fall after the Italian telecommunications company revealed that efforts to sell its UK business had collapsed.

The shares dropped almost 48 per cent on Monday before trading was suspended by the Milan Stock Exchange. It was the biggest drop since the telecoms company’s flotation in 1999.
