UN warns N Korea on nuclear test

The United Nations Security Council has agreed a unanimous statement, warning North Korea to refrain from testing a nuclear weapon, or face unspecified action.

Details of the statement were expected to be read by Kenzo Oshima, the council president and Japan’s UN ambassador, at a formal open meeting of the council later in on Friday, said Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s UN ambassador.
