Tokyo tries to tempt savers with bonds

Climb into a Tokyo taxi and you would normally expect to be faced with advertisements on the back of the passenger seat tempting Japan’s army of salarymen with such products as hair implants.

Recently, however, in some taxis this important advertising space is being tapped by Japan’s Ministry of Finance offering a rather different product: government bonds.
