Playing it safe means Stenham is still standing

During the boom days of hedge funds, some dismissed Stenham Group as a money manager that played it too safe.

While most other managers levered up and placed riskier bets in pursuit of higher gains, Stenham stuck with mainly transparent and liquid strategies in its portfolio. Returns, therefore, were not as stratospheric as those produced by some of its competitors.
