Blair to call for global trade agreement

Failure to secure a global trade deal at the ministerial conference in Hong Kong next month would have a damaging impact on rich nations as well as the developing world, Tony Blair will warn later on Monday.

In a keynote speech at London's Guildhall, the prime minister will call on World Trade Organisation members not to let the stalled negotiations collapse and will also set out proposals for overcoming the problems.
