Profitability: The logic of satisfaction

A comprehensive review by the US Department of Labor of more than 100 studies concluded that there is a positive relationship between training, motivating and empowering employees, and improvements in productivity, employee satisfaction and financial performance.

It also found that a combination of such practices is more effective than practising just one, and that the impact of such an approach is greater over the long term, preferably more than three years.
