When did you last run a careful eye over your travel insurance policy? Unless you are a fine print junkie, chances are you may be flying in the face of a potentially costly exclusion clause.

The political and economic climate and the advent of technology has shortened the odds against such shocks. International terrorism has heightened the danger of trips being disrupted and countries suddenly being declared off-limits by insurers.
