Two Yemeni men have alleged that the US detained them at secret prisons for more than 18 months, Amnesty International said in a report released yesterday. It called on the US to reveal the locations of secret detention centres used in the "war on terror".
According to the report, the two Yemeni nationals - Salah Nasser Salim "Ali" and Muhammad Faraj Ahmed Mashmilah - were captured in Jordan and Indonesia by local authorities before being interrogated in Jordan by members of the Jordanian intelligence services. The men claim they were then transferred to US custody, spending more than 18 months in solitary confinement in secret prisons.
