Yell is likely to require an extension on the deadline for its lenders to agree plans to restructure its £3.8bn debt pile.

The company will on Monday meet with a consortium of bankers led by HSBC, during which the results of a vote taken among its lending entities, which number about 1,000 spread among roughly 300 creditors, will be discussed. An announcement will be made following the meeting.
