The dash for cash by UK Plc shows no signs of slowing. This week, two housebuilders, a couple of property groups and Yell, publisher of the Yellow Pages, announced plans to raise a total of almost £2.3bn via share placings – and the market barely missed a beat.
But can this continue? How much more new paper can investors digest before they start to bloat and is there a danger that further cash calls put pay to the market’s advance?
