Nintendo warns of profit growth slowdown

Nintendo said it expected profit growth to slow this year in spite of the Wii games console helping it to a 50 per cent jump in profit for the year to March.

The Japanese group said on Thursday that it expected a 34 per cent increase in Wii sales this year – to 25m units from 18.6m last year, the first 12-month reporting period since the Wii was introduced in late 2006.
