Little expected from Japan stimulus

Having launched 15 economic stimulus packages in the past 16 years, the Japanese government might be expected to be an expert in emergency measures to boost a flagging economy.

But the stimulus package it unveiled yesterday was roundly criticised as not only too little to save the economy from its current woes, but misguided to boot.
