Opec calls for Russia output cut as oil dips

Opec called on Russia, the world’s largest producer outside the cartel, to deliver on its promise to reduce oil output to support the energy market as crude oil prices on Tuesday dropped further below $40 a barrel.

Chakib Khelil, Opec president and Algeria’s oil minister, complained about the lack of Russia’s contribution to the cartel pledge to reduce its output by 4.2m barrels a day since September.
