Sir, Conventional wisdom, repeated by Dennis Wilder, is that China does not want to put pressure on North Korea to stop its nuclear adventurism because destabilising the North Korean regime might send a flood of refugees across the Yalu river into China (“It is China that holds the key to North Korea”, June 5).
