The British head of Clifford Chance, the world's biggest law firm, is switching his base to New York in a move to shake up management and boost profits at the firm's US arm.
Peter Cornell, the UK-based firm's global managing partner, has decided to spend more time focusing on improving the performance of the US operations, which provided one quarter of global revenues last year.
