Airport is a disaster for business

Talk to business in northern Italy and you hear one complaint: the woeful state of Malpensa, Milan’s international airport, Richard Milne and Guy Dinmore write.

Letizia Moratti, mayor of Milan, admitted that this year would be bad for Malpensa with few international flights after Alitalia, the ailing national carrier, almost abandoned the airport.
