Sanctuary jumps on approaches

Shares in Sanctuary Group, the troubled recorded music, and artist management company, jumped 44 per cent after it confirmed receiving "approaches" from several third parties.

Sanctuary, whose roster of artists includes Iron Maiden and Morrissey, was forced to issue a statement after a spike in its share price, which yesterday closed up 5p at 16¼p, valuing the company at £34m.
