More doors slam on buy-to-let lending

The era of buy-to-let property as an alternative investment for the novice investor is now over, brokers say, following the nationalisation this week of the UK’s biggest buy-to-let lender, Bradford & Bingley.

But seasoned investors with large deposits to put down on a house may actually benefit from lower rates, as remaining lenders chase good business.
