BA hopes to restore tarnished image

Willie Walsh, chief executive of British Airways, acknowledges his customers are "frustrated and irritated".

He believes the opening in two weeks of Terminal 5 at London Heathrow airport, will be a defining moment, however, in starting the rehabilitation of BA's tarnished reputation for poor customer service at its global hub - as long as proceedings are not marred by the last minute disaster of a still threatened pilots strike.
