The Argentine economic model combining a competitive exchange rate, twin budget and trade surpluses, record reserves and buoyant industrial production will not change if first lady Cristina Fernández is elected president, she said.

”Elections can no longer be a game of Russian roulette for the Argentine people,” Ms Fernández said in a strident hour-long speech launching her campaign before a packed theatre in her hometown of La Plata, outside Buenos Aires.
