Studios attempt to widen web of movie distribution

From meeting rooms in Beverly Hills to studio lots in Burbank, distribution is the new buzzword for entertainment industry executives.

With advertisers deserting television for the internet and sales growth of DVDs slowing, the industry is also grappling with how to reach a generation being brought up on YouTube and iPods.
