Bank leaps to top of Hong Kong capitalisation tables

Bank of China leapt to the top of Hong Kong’s market capitalisation tables on Thursday alongside the likes of HSBC and China Construction Bank.

But neither BoC nor CCB are included in the territory’s benchmark Hang Seng Index – highlighting what critics say is an anachronistic segregation on an increasingly China-focused exchange.
