Unite set to raise £82m in new equity

Unite Group, the student accommodation provider, is to raise £82m through issuing new equity to finance its London development portfolio for the next few years.

The company will issue 32.8m shares at 250p in a fully underwritten placing and open offer, representing a discount of almost 12 per cent to Wednesday’s closing price. The issue has been underwritten by JPMorgan Cazenove and Numis.
