NatWest Three refused leaveto return home

A US judge yesterday refused to permit the three former NatWest investment bankers extradited on Enron-related fraud charges last week to return to the UK ahead of their trial.

Judge Steven William Smith said the men's ties to the UK, coupled with his court's loss of jurisdiction if they were allowed to go, made the return impossible.
