Tradition, one of the world’s largest inter-dealer brokers, will on Friday unveil a joint venture to develop freight derivatives with Norwegian shipping broker RS Platou.

The move is another sign of interest among key players in the over-the-counter derivatives markets in developing financial products that can be used to manage risks in the business of shipping commodities.
