Banks see rise in angry clients

Financial institutions were hit with almost 3m complaints last year from customers furious about issues such as overcharging and misleading advice.

The Financial Services Authority released previously unpublished complaints figures for the past three years on Thursday, for the first time revealing the scale of dissatisfaction with banks, building societies, insurers and investment managers.
