Burma death toll could exceed 100,000

The death toll from Burma’s cyclone could exceed 100,000, the US embassy in Rangoon said last night. The grim estimate came as UN agencies expressed frustration that their efforts to help 1m survivors were being hindered by the military regime’s reluctance to let foreign experts into the country.
