UK: Airline wars can have tough consequences

At first sight, the row between Ryanair and the European Commission has little to do with the business traveller. The war of words is an entertaining read on the business flight to Munich, but it is all about transporting tourists and stag parties rather than serious executives – or is it?

Some observers believe the colourful exchanges between Michael O’Leary, Ryanair’s chief, and Brussels authorities are part of a battle for control of the pace of change in European air transport, a change that would affect all air travellers.
