N Korea due to deliver nuclear report

North Korea was on Thursday set to submit a long-overdue declaration of its plutonium-based nuclear programme, prompting the US to start removing Pyongyang from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.

However, taking North Korea off the blacklist will be controversial as Kim Jong-il’s regime will not disclose any information about its suspected uranium enrichment programme, the issue that triggered the current nuclear crisis.
