A military transport aircraft crashed in a residential district of Tehran on Tuesday, killing all 94 people on board and at least 34 people on the ground.

The US-made Hercules C-130 had taken off from Mehrabad airport before the pilot reported a technical problem. Most of the 84 passengers were Iranian journalists on their way to cover military exercises in the south.
