It is not a good time to be making forecasts

For 2007, the International Monetary Fund is forecasting a rise in global economic output of 4.9 per cent. The US economy should grow by 2.9 per cent in real terms, the eurozone by 2 per cent, and Japan by 2.1 per cent.
